Need for Achievement is committed to protecting the privacy of all our clients and delegates. We will ensure that the personal data you submit to us is only used for the purposes set out in this policy
For the purpose of applicable data protection legislation (including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679) the association responsible for your personal data is Need for Achievement Ltd.
How do we collect Personal Data?
We obtain information about you either directly from your company HR department when they confirm delegate attendance on a training course or when you register in person at the training course. Registration is confirmed as completion of our Training Attendance sheet (F9.1-3).
For ILM programmes delivered by Need For Achievement on behalf of the Institute of Leadership & Management we obtain information about you either directly from your company HR department when they confirm delegate attendance on an ILM programme or when you register in person at the programme. Registration is confirmed as the completion of our ILM Enrolment Form (F8.5-3).
We also receive personal data from our employees, trainers and suppliers when we engage their services and as required by the contract between us.
How we use your data
We comply with obligations under the GDPR and use personal data for the following purposes:
To enable us to administer our training services
To operate the Need for Achievement Ltd website
To administer financial procedures and records
To administer employee records
Need for Achievement Ltd may collect your personal details, including but not limited to your name and company email address details from our Training Attendance Sheet or ILM Enrolment form.
This information is held and used Need for Achievement as follows;
We hold details of all training course attendance for each of our clients for reference and reporting purposes.
We input all names and company email address on an excel spreadsheet (Course Follow up database), shared on our office cloud based system and accessible by the Managing Director, Relationship Manager and Office Manager.
From time to time we use a cloud based storage system between our trainers and office personnel.
As part of the course contract, and as requested by our client who is generally the delegate employer, we communicate specific course follow up reading to delegates who attended relevant courses via company email addresses.
If delegates would prefer not to receive follow up communication, they are asked to contact their HR department.
For our ILM programmes, we will input all delegates names and ages onto the ILM walled garden, which is a secure portal for enrolment of candidates undertaking an ILM qualification. Please refer to the ILM privacy statement for further information https://www.i-l-m.com/privacy
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary to carry our usual business. All personal data will be securely deleted 7 years after the last contact unless the contract states longer.
How do we safeguard your personal data?
We are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access. All personal data submitted by you via our website or email system is transferred using security technology to establish an encrypted link between a server and a browser. This ensures all data remains private. We also have organisational measures in place to deal with any suspected data breach.

Access
You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you that we hold. We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request. Where we are legally permitted to do so, we may refuse your request and will give you reasons for doing so.

We will respond to all subject access requests within the guideline of one month of receipt and reading the request. We may need to request further details in order to ensure that the request is legitimate and also reserve the right to charge an administrative fee for this service.
Your choices
By giving your consent to be contacted by email on our attendance sheet you will receive follow up communication / reading relevant to the course you attended. If you do not want to receive email communication from us please contact your HR department.
